In just a few weeks' time, Love Saves The Day will return to Bristol for another weekend of brilliant music and hedonistic fun.

And thanks to what is quite possibly the biggest line-up the blowout has ever welcomed with the likes of Fatboy Slim, Sampha, Loyle Carner and many more all descending on Eastville Park, it’s shaping up to a weekend to remember.

However, there is a problem for the ticket-holding football fans - especially those who support Liverpool.

Mo Salah had to sell his festival ticket...

After the team’s thrilling semi final win against Roma, which saw them win 7-6 on aggregate after two exhilarating legs, Liverpool have made it through to the final of the Champions League and - yep - the final is on the Saturday evening of LSTD, with kick off coming pretty much exactly when the festival will be entering full swing.

Dealing with set clashes is normality for festival-goers but this dilemma is far, far worse for Liverpool fans, who have endured a long 11-year wait since their team's last shot at winning European football's elite trophy.

As Liverpool fans with tickets to the festival watched on as their team narrowly edged over the line in Rome, there must have been one pressing question mixed in with the euphoria: will there be a screen at Eastville Park showing the game?

Well, we now know the answer to that, and the burning question was raised by Liverpool’s star man Mohamed Salah of all people (although there is a slight chance it wasn’t the real Mo).

Taking to Facebook, the record breaking winger posted saying ‘saturday LSTD, can’t go, got something else on’, to which the festival replied on Twitter saying ‘Just to confirm, unfortunately we're not showing the Champions League final at Love Saves The Day.’

So there we have it. If you’ve got a ticket and you support Liverpool, you’ll just have to watch the game on your phone in the crowd as My Nu Leng deliver a typically huge set in front of you. There are worse ways to enjoy the game, to be fair, and at least you'll be in the perfect place when it comes to celebrating...
